Master your camera with Shut Your Aperture Academy

Shut Your Aperture Academy is an all-access masterclass platform for photographers who want to master both the technical craft and the artistic vision behind the lens. Founded and led by Edin Chavez, a professional photographer with over fifteen years of experience shooting for editorial, commercial, and fine-art clients, the academy brings working professionals' workflows directly to your screen.

Each course is a deep dive, not a highlight reel. Structured modules walk you through camera fundamentals, exposure, lighting, composition, and post-processing, then advance into portrait, wedding, food, landscape, and street photography. Every module ships with a workbook and a hands-on assignment so you practice what you learn and build a real portfolio you are proud of.

The academy is built for every level, from beginners picking up their first camera to experienced shooters refining a specialty. An active community of more than 1,200 students learns alongside you, and every subscription is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. Whether you want to turn photography into a career or simply make better images of the people and places you love, Shut Your Aperture Academy gives you the structured path and professional guidance to get there.
